Today we went to Christmas tree shopping at a local tree farm. It was so snowy that our 3-year-old could barely walk across the field! We just got a snow storm a couple of days ago, and the snow was still fresh and fluffy. It's so cold up here in the north right now! To be honest with you, I don't care much for snow and I don't go outside during winter unless I absolutely have to. But the boys had a great time today and it was nice to get some fresh air.
I'll be decorating and baking cookies tomorrow, so it'll be fun! What's your plan for the rest of the weekend?
Awwwwwww I love the photo of the boys and Steve! You've seen 'Christmas Vacation' right? Any tree trip that doesn't end with the tree's rootball hanging over the car is a success! Haha. I'm jealous of all your snow. It's been downright warm here. In the 50s! Very unusual and my stash of greenery doesn't like it. I usually am able to use my screened in porch as a massive walk in fridge.
ReplyDeleteYeah, I've seen the movie - that's my husband's favorite Christmas movie of all time lol! I'm jealous of your warm weather! But I'm sure Barbie misses playing in snow, too :) Wishing you a white Christmas! xoxo

ReplyDeleteLOVE!
You are so sweet as always, Linda! The boys were excited that we were finally getting our Christmas tree that day lol. xo
Deletei just pulled the boxes from the basement Saturday and decorated as much as i'm going to for this year! husband has been sick sick sick with an upper respiratory infection that required 2 rounds of antibiotics, a package of steroids and a nebulizer with umpteen breathing treatments to be kicked in the tail!
ReplyDeleteso sorry it's so cold there. force yourself to make a few memories in the snow with your boys, like you did with the tree hunt. throw a few snowballs or make a mini snowman or a snow angel. those memories will be precious to them as the years pass.
I'm so sorry to hear that your husband has been sick :( Hope he is on the mend and feeling better very soon! Sending my prayers your way. Yes, I really should spend more time with my boys outside (in the snow), but my instinct tells me no...
